JCSUD is participating in the annual Holiday Grease Roundup through the North Central Texas Council of Governments and the Wastewater And Treatment Education Roundtable. This campaign raises awareness about keeping fats, oils, and grease out of sewer systems this holiday season by offering free recycling of used residential cooking oil and grease.
Liquid fats, oil and grease can solidify inside pipes and sewer lines, creating a hardened blockage. After preparing your holiday meals, bring your used cooking oil and grease to our collection container instead of pouring them
down the drain. Recycling these substances helps avoid sewer blockages and costly repairs. The collected cooking oil and grease will be recycled into biodiesel or biogas by American BioSource.
Drop-Off Location: Joshua Park and Ride Facility, 1009 Joshua Station Blvd, Joshua, TX 76058.The collection container is located at the Joshua Park and Ride Facility, 1009 Joshua Station Blvd, Joshua, TX 76058.
